Come see how the Vail School District continues to soar and reach new heights
in our schools, in our community, across the state and even throughout the
nation! Vail Pride Day 2011 will be held on Saturday, February 19th at the Pima
County Fairground, 11300 S. Houghton Road. The festivities begin at 9:00 a.m.
and run until 5:30 p.m. This free event is a great way to entertain your whole
family.
Vail Pride Day, in its twelfth year, is a Vail School District community tradition.
Founded in 1999 by Governing Board member Anne Gibson, it is meant to be a
day to honor and showcase the many successes of our students, staff,
volunteers, clubs, businesses and community service organizations. It is also a
great opportunity to come together to support one another during these trying
times, and celebrate what a wonderful, caring community we have.
This will prove to be an amazing day and you will not want to miss out on the
fun and festivities. At Vail Pride Day you can watch Academic Jeopardy and
Math Bowl competitions participate in the Fun Run, marvel in the classroom,
educational, art and science displays, delight in the musical and special
performances, and learn about community organizations, all at no cost! And of
course, it wouldn’t be Vail Pride Day without food and fundraising activities that
help support our school organizations and clubs.
